After testing out Free Your Tea, I am convinced that this company truly loves what they do. The Fruit + Floral Blend is an exciting herbal, caffeine-free tea that features a delicate mix of bold fruit and floral flavors (just as the name suggests). If you are looking for a delicious tasting tea that won’t keep you up late at night, then this is perfect for you.
The ingredients inside this specific tea includes: lavender, cornflowers, blue mallow blossoms, rose petals, lemongrass, lemon and mango.
Personalization is important to Free Your Tea. They tailor teas to your tastes using their database of tea preferences and ratings, which reveals which teas people with similar preferences and ratings to yours are most likely to appreciate. Prior to receiving your first shipment, new members are asked to enter their preferences for tea kinds, caffeine levels, and personalization options. Unless you're just searching for diversity, you are encouraged to provide more detailed preferences for 30 different flavors, tea types, and ingredients. Upon arrival of your first teas, you are asked to rate each tea on a scale of 1 to 5 stars and specify whether or not you would want to get the tea again sometime in the future. They personalize your tea based on your tea preferences and ratings.
Each shipment contains 4-6 2 oz. bags of personalized tea bimonthly, or quarterly, depending on your subscription. Prices can range from $16 to $30 each month, depending on your membership package. When opposed to paying month to month, it is considerably cheaper to sign up for a year and simply be billed quarterly.
Shipping within the United States is always free, and each box comes with 50-100 drawstring bags.
All of their teas taste great both as plain cups of hot tea and cold brewed. Some are even better with additions like milk and sugar. Personally, I brewed this tea plain with no additives to get the full flavor effects.
For hot tea, they generally recommend sachet per cup and steeping no more than 4-5 minutes. For cold brewing, they recommend a sachet per cup and steeping for 10-12 hours in the refrigerator.
This is quickly becoming one of my favorite teas to sip on, both in the morning and at night. Being caffeine-free, I do not have to worry about struggling to fall asleep! Sometimes after dinner, I make a cup of tea to help digest a heavy meal or if I don’t want to drink plain water. I absolutely loved the bold fruit scents that are present with this tea. The flavors are still very strong after a few more steeps!
After learning about all of the benefits of tea, my journey of tea tasting has begun! Tea is one of those beverages that I can drink multiple cups throughout the day without having to worry about extra calories or sugar intake. The loose leaves from Free Your Tea are ethically sourced from tea gardens all over the world, consistently producing a nice, personalized tea experience.
Overall, if you enjoy tea or alternate your coffee habit with a cup of tea every now and then, then you should give Free Your Tea a chance. I truly love how they personalize every single shipment to your liking, so long as you provide your ratings. I have tried a lot of tea, but if you're not interested in the Fruit + Floral Blend, feel free to check out our other tea reviews!
