Results

As I took my first sip, I knew that this green tea blend would uplift my mood. The tea bag had an incredible aroma reminiscent of freshly picked pomegranates with subtle notes of rosehips. I was pleased to discover that the tea lived up to its fragrance. Although there were no actual pomegranate pieces in the blend, the flavor was unmistakable.

The combination of pomegranate and green tea was perfectly balanced, with the green tea base remaining predominant. I especially enjoyed the light and smooth finish with every sip. This green tea is versatile and easy to drink, whether hot or iced, and is a refreshing choice to have throughout the day.

Upon steeping for three minutes, the tea liquor took on a beautiful golden yellow hue. The flavor profile began with a distinct pomegranate taste that transformed into a grassy note and ended with a subtle raspberry essence. Although pomegranate was not listed in the ingredients, I assume it was present in the form of flavoring. However, I did detect a slightly peculiar aftertaste, prompting me to add a dash of sugar to my cup.

To brew a single cup of the Art of Tea Green Pomegranate Sachet, steep one sachet in 8 ounces of water heated to 180-185 degrees Fahrenheit for 3 minutes. If you wish to make a larger batch, simply add one sachet per 8 ounces of water to create a full bodied and flavorful tea experience.

Benefits of Green Tea

For over 4,000 years, green tea has been enjoyed for its numerous health benefits. Unlike other teas, green tea undergoes minimal processing, allowing chlorophyll, amino acids, and flavonoids (antioxidant compounds) to remain and flourish. This gentle processing method allows the unique catechins found in green tea to be highly concentrated, resulting in the numerous health benefits associated with drinking green tea. Therefore, we can enjoy the health benefits of green tea due to its minimal processing.

  1. According to a study, regular consumption of green tea can potentially reduce the risk of periodontal disease and promote healthy teeth and gums, as it contains antioxidants.
  2. Green tea's catechin antioxidants have been shown to fight and prevent cancer by eliminating free radicals that can damage DNA, which may lead to cancer, blood clots, and atherosclerosis.
  3. Regularly drinking green tea can lower the risk of heart disease, as the flavonoids present in green tea can help prevent inflammation and clot formation in body tissue. Additionally, the antioxidants found in green, black, and oolong teas can enhance artery function, increase HDL (good) cholesterol levels, and prevent the oxidation of LDL (bad) cholesterol.
  4. Due to its polyphenol content, green tea is often considered a beverage that can aid in weight loss by helping to burn calories and improve digestion. With regular consumption, green tea can boost metabolism and contribute to a healthier weight.
  5. Green tea includes L-theanine, an amino acid that can produce relaxation effects, making it a soothing beverage. To benefit from the calming and relaxing properties of L-theanine, it is recommended to consume green tea in moderation, rather than taking supplements.
  6. Finally, there is a diverse range of flavors when it comes to green tea, ranging from vegetal and rice-like to sweet and fruity. Art of Tea provides a vibrant assortment of green teas to cater to every taste preference, including classic blends such as Gunpowder and Sencha, as well as fruit-infused options like Meyer Lemon and Green Pomegranate.
